How to stop anxiety
Whether it is about your birth, your home situation, your kids or just the fact you're getting old....anxiety wreaks havoc on so many of us moms and women. It doesn't matter your tribe, your nation, your skin, your associations. It crosses all divides. And it's junk. Anxiety is defined as distress, and an unsettled mind. The same thoughts running a constant loop in your head. It can steal your birth away. It can rob you of your first days with your newborn. Those first days are yours to keep and protect and cherish. Do not let anxiety steal them away. Recently, I heard a speaker on the TOP 3 WAYS to battle anxious thoughts. Here they are to be completed in order:
1. ⚖️ PUT IT ON TRIAL. Take the thought and put it on trial. Ask yourself if it is true? What evidence backs up its truth? Is it a real fact or an imagined thought.
2. 🚨STOP the thought. Silence it. Put handcuffs on it and don't let it go anywhere. Literally say Shhhh to your mind. It is not given any airtime in your brain radio.
3. 🌸REPLACE the thought. First it was found guilty, then silenced, now it's being thrown out! See ya later. Or.....See you NEVER because the new, improved thought has taken its place.
